Mission to Pakistan

14th - 20 January, the CSOK delegation, led by its President, visited Pakistan. The first-ever visit of CSOK delegation was prepared in cooperation with the Permanent Representative of CSOK in Pakistan Mr. Aamer Khanzada, the Head of Pegasus Consultancy Ltd., as well as the Embassy of Pakistan in Prague and the Embassy of CZ in Islamabad.

14th - 20 January, a ČSOK delegation led by its president visited Pakistan. The first-ever visit of ČSOK delegation was prepared in cooperation with the Permanent Representative of ČSOK in Pakistan Mr. Aamer Khanzada, the Head of Pegasus Consultancy Ltd. as well as the Embassy of Pakistan in Prague and the Embassy of CZ in Islamabad.

The mission took place in Karachi and also Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

In Karachi, a series of meetings and negotiations were held with the support and participation of the Czech Republic´s Honorary Consul Mr. Ansari. The president met with the leadership of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry and the leadership of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Part of these meetings was also the meeting with dozens of major invited companies. The delegation of ČSOK and the Pakistani companies held talks on specific cooperation opportunities, which resulted in a an agreement to hold a business conference in March 2012 in Prague, to which  delegations from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Karachi will be invited. The conference is planned to be a milestone in coordinating a large business delegation connected to an attendance at 3 large exhibitions in Pakistan from the fields of energy, renewables, gas & diesel and the defense industry. The delegation will take place in 6 - 12 May in Karachi and Islamabad.

The rich program in Karachi escalated in a welcoming by His Excellency, the Governor of Sindh province, which has 50 million inhabitants and in its territory the 20 million city of Karachi is located.

Meetings of Czech businessmen in Islamabad.

On 18 - 20 January meetings were held  in Islamabad with a group of Czech businessmen. The meetings were attended by the representatives of companies under the auspices of the Czech Central Asian Chamber of Commerce (ČSOK).

During their stay the Czech companies visited Alternative Energy Development Board, Pakistan Software Export Board, a factory for the production of armored cars and military vehicles and also met with representatives of companies focused on the production of military equipment and many other subjects. At the end of the program they met with the leadership and members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During its meetings, ČSOK elaborated with the Pakistani counterparts on a number of potential contracts for Czech companies in the field of energy, infrastructure, information technology, water management and export of capital equipment.

ČSOK is planning another visit to Pakistan in May 2012. During  8 - 10 May 2012, Czech companies will participate in Karachi 8th trade fair SAFE SECURE Pakistan and the parallel exhibition PAKISTAN OIL, GAS, ENERGY EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE.
