Cluster International Education & Science in St. Petersburg

The Chamber organized working meetings between Czech and Russian universities in
Saint Petersburg.The event was a follow - up to the June visit of the President of the Chamber and
Professor Karel Rais, Member of Parliament and Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee
for education and science.

The cluster established by Chamber relating about International Education & Science , which brings together Czech universities for the purpose of joint international activities focused on inter-university cooperation and the recruitment of foreign students, enables direct contacts between universities.

Almost 20 Russian universities participated in the meeting with the Czechs in St. Petersburg for the second time in the last 4 months. St Petersburg Technical and Humanities Universities, represented by rectors, vice-rectors, deans or directors of foreign departments of universities, listened carefully to the varied offer from the Czech side.Postgraduate and postgraduate studies, summer student camps, MBA studies, Czech language teaching was a fraction of the offer the Czech side presented at the inter-university meeting.

The interest in cooperation with Czech universities was so great that even a delegation of the pedagogical university came from St. Petersburg to the meeting from the distant Bashkortostan Ufa led by the vice-rector of the university.The program also included a working visit to St. Petersburg State University humanities departments.

It is a classical humanities university whose establishment 95 years ago was initiated by a trade union. Today the university is completely independent and from the past remained only the name. The 5 faculties prepare thousands of top-level students in the fields of Law, Philosophy and Political Science, Journalism, Education, Philology.

But also at the Faculty of Arts educates and prepares future filmmakers, actors, dancers and more.

Specific opportunities for cooperation have been opened for participants of the Czech delegation, which will be supported and implemented by the Chamber on the platform of direct inter-university contacts.
